 future of model98.net
« Thread Started on Sept 4, 2005, 9:00pm »

Guys, ive been wondering, what's our future? I dont have any problems with staying here, but how long can this last?

I can build us a 'better' site, and keep all of our current staff members. If anyone's up for it.

Im just wondering, that's all. While this forum works, since we can all chat and stuff, i cant help feeling that it will die off....

ya a real site would be the best thing, i really missed how model98.net used to have that section for mods all right there, didnt have to go searching for specific mods, and they were all very detailed and had pics and everything, i really miss that

Yeah, naturally I would assume that we want to grow a little in numbers and such, and no one new is really attracted to just a forum. There are exceptions but I think there is definately need for a site.

i actually ditched a recent project. I have enough space to build 3 model98.net's.

but that's not really the point. It's pissing me off how some people on Tippmannowners think THIS is model98.net, always was, etc. And im like "no."

well i dont think there really is a future to the formerly known "model98.net". unless NN gets his crap together the site wont be coming back. we could put a site on this but it wouldnt be the same. i have a feeling this forum will last for a while, but really the only reason people come here is to talk to other former members of model98.net. so, its really up to the people. if yall want to ressurect the site, we can do it.

keep in mind this forum has been up for a little over a year now

(i think)

We don't have to make another "model98.net" It could be a different site, new name, whatever. The same old would be good and awesome too, but different could be better, you never know.

no.....unless i fell into some kinda time warp hole. That would suck. :P

These forums are kool, but it's like somebody who im just too lazy to find out said, no body isnt going to be interested in joining, i dont think we'll really grow...

And i have webspace...we could build a real site..

it's not really so simple as to 'lets move'.

I can get model98.org. Will that work for everyone? Name ideas would be aprreciated.

And i want to get all of the content (mods, articles, useful info, etc.) on it too.

How about model98take2. or almostmodel98. or 98%ofmodel98.

ok, now I'm just being a little lame. Truly, if were just going to piss and moan in the lounge and general, I'm not sure we should be called model98. That site was much more about moding your marker and tweaking the 98 to the max. I wonder how many of us even still own a 98?
